Samantha practices relational psychotherapy which provides a deeper level to her work and assists clients to move towards lasting, integrated change.
Relational psychotherapy allows a client, in relation with their therapist; to better understand their own inner world. This process examines patterns of thinking and behaviour that keep occurring despite attempts to change, while the impact of early attachment styles are explored within current relationships both personal and work based.
Within the session tools, techniques and methods encompass Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy are provided in response to client needs.
With over 17 years work experience which includes sales, recruitment, career counselling, vocational rehabilitation and therapy. Her education includes Psychology qualifications to post-graduate level, a Business degree and a 4 year course in Relational Psychotherapy as well as ongoing professional development.
Samantha’s working style has been described as open and warm; her authentic approach both enables and guides clients.
She works with clients experiencing a range of personal difficulties which include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, panic attacks,relationship issues, stress, work issues, motivation and guided support to personal change.
Career coaching and Career transition support is also available drawing on her experience in business, recruitment and human resources. She is currently providing vocational rehabilitation to those who are not working and on life insurance/income protection payments and have a psychological diagnosis, to get back to work or find a new career option.
